Moon Walker Has A Lot To Say.
For their second offering, LA duo Moon Walker roll back the distortion (a little bit) and turn the social commentary up to 11. While “The TV Made Me Do It” may see the band abandon the sparse arrangement and raw vintage rock power of it’s predecessor “Tear Down The Wall”, Moon Walker pulls no punches, turning their lyrical cannons towards media sensationalism in the ferocious, yet enlightening way that only they could. In addition to their evolved lyrical content, the sophomore single sees the band expand their sonic soundscape, borrowing colors and textures from the palettes of Talking Heads and Pink Floyd.
Not A One Trick Pony.
"Light Burns Out" is Moon Walker's most heartfelt single yet. Putting their guitars on the stand and their aggression in their back-pocket, the duo opts for pianos, mellotrons and introspective lyricism on the third single. The song is just as politically charged as a regular listener would expect, but it seems as though Springer may be aiming his attention at unity, rather than further polarization. The song slowly unfolds from a searing piano ballad into a boisterous singalong that will have all listeners, from all walks of life, united through the power of music. As if we needed it, "Light Burns Out" is the public's third reason to pay attention to Moon Walker.
